Violent yet lyrical, the five tracks (each identified only by a serial number and the time of day it was recorded) feature squeals, buzzes, squawks, and other Fripperies. Seventy minutes of unedited, non-overdubbed electric attack and decay will be too much for some, and Wallace's music may not convey the “feel” of the modern world quite the way his liner notes suggest. Still, his playing is a lot less predictable than that of many guitar warriors, and the best of it has a savage beauty that Eddie Van Halen couldn't achieve with six months of overdubs.
